My Vanity Tour

Hello everyone!

As I have had a few weeks off work, I have been getting my D.I.Y skills out, and I have completely redecorated my bedroom. My rooms’ best asset has got to be my new MALM vanity from Ikea. I absolutely love it. It’s white with a glass top and a little sliding drawer.

I always keep a box of tissues on my vanity. I think they’re an absolute must considering the table is white! Make up can get a little messy at times so having a box of tissues to hand is always a good idea! I also keep all of my perfumes together, they are all clumped in the corner at the minute because I haven’t really got any order for them to go in, I think I need to invest in a couple of shelves to keep them tidy, I’m not very happy with the way they look at the minute. I am a little bit of a perfume hoarder, I can’t part with any of these, I just love them all! Do you have any suggestions as to how I could organize my perfumes?

Next is my lipstick holder, I have a couple missing in this picture as I think they were in my makeup bag! It’s a clear plastic holder from Ebay, I think it cost about £2.50 with free postage, and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. It keeps all my lipsticks on display so I never neglect any! Once I build up my makeup collection more, I will be buying another couple of these, they make the whole vanity look neat and organised! Underneath are my little plastic drawers I also got from Ebay. I think these were just over £10, they pull all the way out and can hold quite a bit of makeup as seen below:

The top drawer is where I keep all my eyeliners, liquid eyeliners and brow pencils. As you can see, the drawer comes out quite far so it’s not a huge battle to get to the back of the drawer!

Next are my mascaras, I always buy chunky bottles for some reason so I couldn’t fit them all in one drawer, but it does fit a good amount in if you’re not a hoarder like me!

The last drawer is where I keep my lip glosses, lip stains and lip liners. I love keeping everything in it’s own little place so I can easily find what I’m looking for.

This is actually a toothbrush holder from Asda, I picked it up for about £2.50 a couple of weeks ago, it’s white with a vintage pin up girl on the front, I couldn’t say no. I think I will need to get another pot to go next to it as they are like sardines at the minute and I have a few brushes that I couldn’t fit in! Where did you purchase your brush holders from?

And, the boyfriends side of the vanity! Of course, I had to add a bit of girl over there with my reed diffuser from Avon. It smells absolutely gorgeous, if it comes back next mothers day, I’m getting enough to last me all year round! I also have my little candle holder from the Yankee store with a Christmas candle still burning!

My little wicker hearts are hanging either side of my mirror. I got these as gifts so I’m not entirely sure where they are from, I have seen them all over the place though, mainly places like Dunelm and home stores.

Just a quick look inside the drawer, I bought 3 drawer organizers that are actually made for this vanity. I keep the rest of my makeup, hair bands and some of my ear rings in these sections.

I don’t know about you guys but I love organizing my stuff, I have a lot of ‘stuff’ and making it all look organized makes me happy (I’m sounding a little bit sad now) If you would like to see how I organize the rest of my beauty products then please comment below.
